I want to use Fit PC as a music server but I only have laptops and I don't want to buy a monitor and keyboard.
Can I somehow use a laptop to configure the Fit PC?
Can I configure Fit PC using a laptop?

You would better use a display (or your TV) for initial configuration.
Later you can work with fit-PC2 headless.

I have mine hooked up to my TV, but I primarily use Win7's built-in Remote Desktop Connection to administer it. I do this from a desktop, but of course a laptop would work just as well. Works great.
I did use the TV when I first installed and for initial config. Perhaps you could borrow a monitor and keyboard just for that part?

Once your pc is configured, you can use logmein free (http://logmein.com) or enable remote desktop (http://www.mydigitallife.info/2008/06/1 ... e-edition/) to admin your fit-pc from another computer.

Touche, logmein is amazing for those that arent teksavvy enough to set up a VNC and dyndns etc etc. Also, logmein is quite secure as well, and its free (you dont need to the pro version, the free lets u remote desktop any mac or windows computer from anywhere) Unfortunetly, last I check it does not support linuxTimeScience wrote:Once your pc is configured, you can use logmein free (http://logmein.com) or enable remote desktop (http://www.mydigitallife.info/2008/06/1 ... e-edition/) to admin your fit-pc from another computer.
