Early development of accelerated flash video on fit-PC2 / GMA500 is now available. It is not production level (some artifacts remain), but it's a good indication of things to come.
To enable accelerated flash in Internet Explorer:
- Use Windows 7 on fit-PC2 (currently not available for other operating systems)
- Install latest Intel GMA500 driver - http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_ ... iid=dc_rss
- Install Adobe Flash 10.1 Beta 1 - note: acceleration does not work with Beta 2! - http://www.filehippo.com/download_flashplayer_ie/6548/
- Restart Windows and run Intenrnet Explorer
Same should work in Firefox but was not tested. Use this pluging - http://www.filehippo.com/download_flash ... efox/6549/

That's great. So the 1080p resolution is usable under Windows 7 for normal uses? What about Blu Ray though? What is the bottle-neck?
Re: Accelerated flash video on fit-PC2 - first sighting
Up to 30Mbps H.264 files do play on fit-PC2 XP HD.
BluRay requires 50Mbps which is too much for GMA500 with current drivers.

Hi
Seems I'm to late. Can't seem to find to download flash 10.1 beta 1 anyware.
Could anyone provide a link or tell me if there's another version that works

Re: Accelerated flash video on fit-PC2 - first sighting
Thanks
Much better, I can now run 720p alright. Works in both IE and FF/Chrome though my cpu is around 60-80%. Not using the flash beta it would be 95-100% and lacking in playback.
I've tested on the avatar trailer used in first post, but could only choose 720p. If I run a batman trailer which could play in 1080p then I get a green bar over the picture.
Running win7
