Re: SATA/PATA
Hi,
My HDD is detected as "ad0: 38154MB <FUJITSU MHW2040BH 00000012> at ata0-master UDMA33".
Is UDMA33 a limitation of a PATA -> SATA converter?
Thanks,
Tobe

Re: SATA/PATA
What operating system you installed? The limit of the converter is UDMA100.

Hi yogev_ezra,
Thanks for your answer, i'm going to check this!
I've installed FreeBSD 7.2 (my FitPC2 is my headless home server).

Can you go to BIOS and see what mode the hard disk is in?
Reboot the machine, then press F2 to enter BIOS.
It's in the first BIOS screen - you see a line with hard disk name.
Press Enter to go inside it, and then post here what is written there.

Re: SATA/PATA
I can't go to BIOS because it's running headless and i don't have any screen handy
Don't mind, i'll try to switch to UDMA100 by hand, just to see if it works.
