Hi
I can play HD mkv files and wmv files on mplayer with no problems, but when I try to play a standard Xvid file I get the following spammed out in the console again and again, and the video lags (I've also seen some squares on the video like "lagging behind" during the entire playback, but they are not always there). To me it sounds like lag caused by the console spamming, but in fact the cpu load is only about 14%. I'm using Ubuntu 8.04 as described here. The video plays perfectly on my desktop pc and almost perfectly in totem/vlc player on the Fit-pc2 (but with some screen tearing). Any ideas?

Re: mplayer: marker does not match
Please open such videos with VLC or Totem media players.
Unfortunately mplayer-vaapi is not official part of Ubuntu yet and not very well maintained.
Please post link or attach part of videofile that cause mplayer-vaapi failure, may be I or someone else will try to fix it.
