Did I understand correctly that there is no plan to add mSATA support in future revisions?

Currently there is no intentions to support mSATA feature. Maybe it will be implemented in the future, but we can not guarantee it.

Yes it does. Boards with the mSATA support will be available to the our valued customers in about two month.
