Hi,
I did not think it is so simple: The uvcvideo module is not present in the fitpc2 kernel. This is why the camera is not detected.
So my request is: Please create a new kernel package which contains the uvcvideo module.

So my clue was correct - the driver is not present and that's why it is not detected.

Try to upgrade kernel to 2.6.24-34.8 version, check if uvcvideo module loaded and working properly.
I can`t make all test because I have not Logitech camera.

Hi,
Yepp, camera is detected and works well (tested it with Skype test function). A little glitch: Upon activation of the camera, the message log file is filled with 'special blit' messages which do not occur with the same camera on Lenovo X41/X61/T40/T42 and standard heron kernel. It does not seem to influence the proper function of the camera though, as far as I can see:
