Citrix Client boot from Flash Disk
Citrix Client boot from Flash Disk
In a low resource application we want to run a Citrix client on Linux from a flash disk with minimal size of 3 - max 8 GB. Is there any experiance on low cost flash memory with SATA Interface to be used insted of a sata HDD. Preferable would be boot from SD Memory.

Re: Citrix Client boot from Flash Disk
There are some DOMs (Disks on Module) on the market with SATA interface, but the problem with them is that they are pretty expensive, and the difference between 8GB and 32GB is very small. For example,
8GB - costs around 40$ USA (expensive - 160GB HDD that is shipped with Fit-PC2 as built-in costs 54$ USA)
32GB - costs around 85$ USA (as you see, 4x times the size of 8GB and only 2x times the price).
So the cheapest internal solution would be as suggested in this thread -

by adding SATA to CF adapter (price around 10$ on eBay)
and then using 4GB CF card (price around 15$ on eBay)
total 25$.
If you don't mind external solution, you can use USB stick with 8GB for around 15$ USA.
