Power socket connector detached

Post by gentlemich »

Hello,
After using the Fit-PC2 just once, I put the power supply connector into its socket on the Fit-PC2 but now the socket has been detached/disconnected from the board...

I have been trying to resolder it by hand on the board but it's a bit tricky (because of the location). Do you have any idea of what I can do?

Is there still a warranty? I bought the PC in November 2009 on Amazon.

Thanks,
Mic

Opening the case (except for the HDD slot) and resoldering will most likely void the warranty. So it's up to the good will of amazon and/or compulab how they handle a RMA procedure. For details you should ask amazon.

Please email rma@fit-pc.com
I hope the soldering did not cause extra damage to the motherboard.
