Hi,
We are looking for a more industrious solution for our lorawan gateways then our current raspberry pi's, the fitlet2 look to be a good fit.
Just one question can we fit a mpci-e lorawan gateway concentrator in the fitlet2, we are currently using the rakwireless RAK2247 (https://store.rakwireless.com/collectio ... r-module-1) which with it's heat sink is about 9.1mm thick (page 4 of https://downloads.rakwireless.com/en/Lo ... l_V1.1.pdf), it does get hot around 40°C in a closed vented box.
It would also be Ideal if we could fit 2 card to give us 16 channels.
Thanks,
fitlet2 as a loraWan gateway

Re: fitlet2 as a loraWan gateway
The mini-PCIe port in fitlet2 has limited clearance so the heatsink of the card has to be removed for installation on FC-PCI.
By specifications the card requires about 1.5W max and is quite tolerant to temperature. I cannot tell how well it is going to behave thermally.
It would be quite difficult to install two such cards in fitlet2 because there is a single miniPCIe socket.
You may order a fitlet2 for evaluation to run some tests.

Thanks Irad for the reply, I have put in a request for a evaluation unit.
