AMD Mullins TPM, (Trusted Platform Module), not detected

Post by Arwen »

While researching hardware random number generators, (my old fit-PC1 had one), I
found that many of these TPMs, (Trusted Platform Modules), have one. Checking the
AMD Mullins, it appears that it has a TPM.

The fitlet BIOS has a option to enable TPM, but below that option, it says it's not
detected.

Does the Micro A10-6700T have the TPM?
And if so, can it be enabled in the BIOS?

fitlet AMD SoC doesn't have silicon built-in TPM functionality. On the other hand fitlet provides HW provision and interfaces for external TPM chip via FACET card, that currently is not offered by Compulab.

Okay, thanks for the answer.

I wish chip makers would include a hardware random number generator. It's just too
useful for lots of things like SSL, TLS, SSH and disk encryption. (The AMD SoC does
have AES instructions... just not the HW RNG part.)
