Hi.
I wish to install m-sata SSD on my amazing Mintbox2.
(to have the Linux Mint OP on SSD and also help reduce hit)

1. When you ship any Linux based Fit-PC product with m-sata SSD, what brand/model Fit-PC choose/install?

2. Is there any thing that I should know before choosing/buying m-sata for the Mintbox2?

3. On the Mintbox2, can you keep the 500gb HD in additional to the m-sata SSD? or one come on the expense of the other?

So far I am very pleased with the Mintbox2 and value your effort on putting together such an amazing product.
Hope to see Mintbox3 one day, though I can't even imagine how can you top Mintbox2 when it's come to value vs price!

Keep up the good work.

Please refer to Ordering information guide:
http://fit-pc.com/download/General/orde ... -guide.pdf

Now to your questions:
1. mSATA SSD accepted on any system that is suitable for such HW (all products except fit-PC2/2i).

2. Nothing special. Please refer to HW spec document - Storage section:
http://fit-pc.com/download/intense-pc/d ... cation.pdf

3. Technically yes. These are two different slots on Intense PC/Mintbox2 that can accept simultaneously mSATA SSD and another 2.5'' drive (HDD/SSD).
However, MintBox 2 computer has fixed configuration due to agreements and legals, and Compulab cannot customize it. The user by his own, can of course.
Intense PC computers can be customized by Compulab.

I am using a Samsung 840 Pro SSD and just installed a Samsung 840 EVO mSATA disk, both are working just fine. I installed xubuntu 14.04 on the mSATA disk. I'll do the same to my second IntensePC soon.
