Installing Linux on miniSD Fit-PC2i
Installing Linux on miniSD Fit-PC2i
I have a a diskless Fit-PC2i and from what I read so far I get mixed signals about the system being able to boot from a mini-SD card or not. I have a manual that says booting from SD card is possible and on the other hand the forums that state that the updated BIOS version of Fit-PC2i allows booting from SD. What's seems to be true?

Re: Installing Linux on miniSD Fit-PC2i
It does support MMC booting? Because I set up a mini-ssd in a USB carrier, and the bios can't find the boot sector. Well, there may not be a boot sector if you
dd if=Linux.iso of=/dev/sdb bs=1M
then dd may simply not be able to write to a boot sector, or the boot area on the MMC may not be large enough. And, I tried also a mkusb.sh script that failed on restarting. So, MMC may require special care in setting up.
