We are using fit-PC2 with Linux OS.
The unit is using an internet via 3G cellular modem.
We have defined an automatic Linux reboot twice a day in order to make sure that its up and running.
We realized that the automatic reboot does not reactivate the 3G modem and only manual reboot (by plugin AC out and in again) does the job.
I would like to know what is the difference between automatic Linux restart and manual restart ?
What should be done in order to get the same result also with the Linux reboot ???

Hello

Unfortunately it seems your modem needs USB power reset during the reboot process. USB power remains on during the reboot process, and that is the reason why you have to unplug the FitPC2 to make hard reset to the 3G modem

I would like to know if its possible when I internally (in the application) restart the unit that also the modem will restart ??

Unfortunately the USB power will remain on unless you unplug the power cord. My suggestion is to look for the other models/manufacturers of the modem.
