Ubuntu 13.04 : sound problems

Hi,

Anyone has tried to install Ubuntu 13.04 (let's say Xubuntu) on a fit PC2 ? I gave a try, seemed fine apart from the sound output.

It was like listening to an old scratched CD with a kind of echo.

Maybe it is a sound server problem ? Or sounds card's drivers ??

No problems with MATE13 following wiki's howto. Clean install on MATE15 has no sound problems. I didn't tested videos.

Try to make dist-upgrade on your 13.04, may be sound will be ficed with the updates

I will give a try. By the way do you have a working 13.04 on fit-pc2 ? (with no sounds problems).
