I'm planning to embed Intense PC into a drawer.

How much space is required by Intense PC in each direction to not overheat?

To answer this question, I need more information about the drawer, e.c. the of air flow available.

As a general guideline: as long as the top is open to ambient air, there will be no reduction in the performance. Once top is confined, expect reduction in performance, unless you provide some sort of alternative form of convection.

Actually I wanted to mount Intense PC to the inner backside of a cupboard.

To lose as few space as possible for the drawers, I'd like to create some protrusion to put Intense PC into.

Side view through the cupboard would be something like this:

As you can see, the PC compartment is supposed to be closed using a built-in shelf.

If you can leave the ribs of the Intense PC in open air (same as the radiator of a refrigirator) it should work best.

I will do it this way then.

Perhaps I'm going to saw out a whole at the back and use a black cloth to cover the backside (like with a HIFI speaker's cover).

Do you think this would be feasible?

If you add a cloth I suggest to leave some kind of venting holes at the top to allow air circulation.
