Post by kenw232 »

Is there a way to disable WiFi in the Intense PC bios? I don't see anything.

You can't disable the WiFi card in the BIOS level. Please describe me your desire to disable the WiFi module, and I'll try to assist you with an alternative methods.

I'm surprised to hear that. I always thought this was possible by default. I'm installing VMWare 5 on my intense pc and I was hoping to make sure vmware didn't see and try to use the Wifi NIC as a valid NIC. I guess its not important.

You can bring the wireless interface down from within the OS system. Which OS do you use?

yes, I'll have to try to do it from within the OS. The OS is VMware 5 ESXi.

You can disable the mini PCIE slots in the BIOS Under advanced settings, This will disable the WIFI card from being recognized by ESXi.

I was able to disable the PCIE mini slots in the BIOS with the i7 Ivy Bridge model. However I am not sure if you can disable the cards the other Intense models.
