Brand new Fit-PC3 does not come on after BIOS update

I received a new Fit-PC Basic (SN 00205-120321-00100) which had an old BIOS that did not have the option to enable mSATA on the long PCIe slot, so I downloaded the latest BIOS and flasher and updated the BIOS.

On power cycling the unit after flashing the BIOS once, the SSD plugged into the long PCIe slot was recognized.

On the second and subsequent attempts to power up the unit nothing happens. There is a red light deep in the box, but the front logo does not light up, nothing is shown on the monitor, and the keyboard's num-lock light does not come on.

Suggestions?

Please remove your mSATA disk from the FitPC3, and anything attached to it except, a keyboard and a monitor.

Try to boot your system and to toggle the Num Lock status.

I have disconnected everything except the monitor, keyboard, and memory sticks and the system does not power up.

I have tested the SSD and Wi-Fi cards in another unit and they work fine there.

Motherboard image attached in case that is helpful.

Second PC, SN 00205-120321-00099, same behavior. Failed on third power up with no modifications or additions.

I need a solution by Thursday morning or a pair of RMA numbers.

What is the mSATA model do you use?

The mSata drive I use is a Crucial M4. "Crucial m4 32GB mSATA Internal Solid State Drive CT032M4SSD3"

While SN 100 died after I'd tried the mSATA drive, SN 99 which I tested last night died without being connected to anything except external devices (monitor, keyboard, mouse, usb stick). The mSata drive also works in a Fit-PC3 "Linux" that I received a few weeks ago that has BIOS version 11. (The "new" units SN99/100 are at BIOS rev. 8)
