connection to hard disk is intermittent

A customer recently returned a fit-PC3 with problems seeing the hard disk. About 50% of the time the PC will boot up normally. Other times, when the PC does not see the hard disk the problem can be solved by putting pressure on the hard disk enclosure door. When pressure is applied the fit-PC boots normally. Has anyone else experienced this problem?
