Noisy Wireless Card

I just got my fit-PC3 last week. After installing Windows 7 on an SSD, I noticed the unit was making a low volume, high-pitched squealing noise. After looking closely at the unit I determined the noise was coming from the wireless card. It sounds like old modem noise but really high pitched. Like an old modem on helium. Is this a defect? I need this unit to be silent for my application. I don't notice any decrease in wireless speed but the high pitched whine is there all the time. I'm going to try turning the wireless off to be sure. BRB with results...

The noise is from the on-board switching power circuit. You are likely to notice that under heavy system load the noise is decreased.
We are working on a BIOS update that will allow the system to run more quietly at the cost of consuming a little more power in idle mode.
