USB keyboard not recognised

Hello!
I just got my fit-PC3 a few days ago and finally came up with installing it this morning. Problem is, my USB keyboad does not seem to be recognised (was, and still is, on my older fit-PC2). I tried plugging it to each of the USB ports, to no avail. USB cdrom drive gets recognised ok, though (my installation cdrom boots just fine, until the first user interaction is needed through keyboard input, that is...).
Is there a specific limitation on the type of keyboard that can be plugged in? Mine is an old G5 Apple iMac keyboard, and I never had any problem with it so far, once again it still works fine with the fit-PC2.
Thanks in advance for your help!

The only limitation with the HID devices is to use them with the USB2 ports (not with the blue ones, which are USB3).

Thanks for the quick answer. In the meantime, I also tried to plug in a real USB 2.0 keyboard (old one was USB 1.1 only), but alas it did not go better. Both keyboards are otherwise perfectly functional (the latter is the one I daily use on my Leopard-installed 2009 Intel-based iMac).
I will try to fetch a non-mac USB keyboard from work tomorrow, but otherwise I have no clue.
Any idea ?

We didn't tested MAC keyboards, but for now, we haven't encounter such problem before.

I've had problems with my Sun/Oracle type 7 USB keyboard using a
Belkin KVM, (Keyboard, Video & Mouse switch).

Seems the problem is that the keyboard has a built in USB hub which
seems to confuse the KVM slightly. So I have to leave my Sun type 6
keyboard plugged in. Then both work fine.

Perhaps it's something similar.

Does your Apple iMac keyboard have a built in USB hub?

Indeed it has. I just brought a simple DELL keyboard from work and it worked fine this time. You must be right about the built-in USB hub. Thanks !

Glad I could help.

In my case, I can leave the Sun Type 6 USB keyboard plugged in at the
same time as my prefered Sun/Oracle Type 7 USB keyboard. Just a little
more power used, but I don't even have the older keyboard on my desk.
