I have the mini RS232 adapter and am trying to update the firmware on an InFocus DLP projector through a serial cable. My computer cannot find the projector with the RS232 Cable. Is there a drive for the FitPC3 that is missing in order to get the RS232 por to work?

Is there any way to test to see if theport works? What device is it called under device manager?

Serial cable is tested using DB9 female and shorting TX to RX.
You should then get a character echo when typing in hyperterminal.
