Turning fitpc on

I have the fitpc 3 and all works fine with win7, vertex2 ssd
When the pc goes to idle/off state I pull out the power cable and plug it in again.

Is there a better solution of turning the pc on?

If you are trying to wake up FitPC3 from a standby, hitting keyboard key or pressing the power button is enough

My problem with Gabriel's suggestion is that both my keyboard and mouse are Bluetooth to get the range - normal wireless USB ones won't work from sofa to TV.

I do have an old SMK USB IR receiver which, I think, came with an Hauppauge WinTV card. I've plugged that into my Fit PC3 and the RC-6 Media Center Remote Control will wake mine from sleep. And I didn't have to install anything: it just worked. Which is nice.
