HDMI connection to TV

Hi, I have posted something similar elswhere on the forum, I tried to connect mine to my TV using just the HDMI lead but nothing came on ?
The TV has a PC input connector, can I use this ?

Ok, got it going on panasonic viera 42" plasma, but its just slightly too big for the screen, and the resolution is a bit poor, any ideas.

find out what the native resolution is on the tv panel... then change your resolution in the operating system to match. may take a bit of research but without either the computer or the panel doing half-pixel-converting it'll wind up being the clearest image.

If the HDMI is strictly video, how would you get audio to come through your TV?

Some TVs accept analog audio in HDMI mode.
Otherwise use your receiver or speakers.
