FitPC3 Pro performs exceptionally well in role of host/processor for Software Defined HF Radio Receiver.
Hardware:
1. FitPC3 Pro running Windows 7 Home Premium 32 bit
2. Soft66ADD software defined hf radio (2.5 - 30 Mhz) receiver (see http://zao.jp/radio/soft66ad/)
Software:
1. Soft66ADD Control Software by EA2BQH - used to tune radio (see http://webs.ono.com/ea2bqh/soft66.htm)
2. SDRadio processing/demodulation software (see http://www.sdradio.eu/sdradio/)
Operation:
Receiver down-converts desired rf receiving frequency to baseband audio beginning at 0Hz using local oscillator and mixer. Receiver quadrature samples desired signal and outputs I (In-phase) and Q (Quadrature) channels in audio frequency range. I - Q audio channels are then fed into FitPC3 stereo line level input. FitPC3 demodulates and processes I - Q inputs and outputs audio (voice, CW, RTTY, etc.).
Performance is very good.
