Hi,
I would like to know roughly (or exactly) how long it takes for the fit-pc3 to go from power on to the OS handover? I would like to use one as an XBMC pc so boot up performance is important.
Also, what options are there in the bios that can be used to speed up POST?
Thanks
BIOS speed
Re: BIOS speed
Hello
All fit-PC3 consume under 10W at idle and about 1W in standby. Resume from standby takes a few seconds.
Boot time will depend also on the OS (Linux or Windows), and of course on the OS configuration.

Re: BIOS speed
Hi,
Thanks, yeah I know what I'm getting into
. I just don't want it to be the same as my main workstation which takes about 35 seconds to POST and initialise the raid controller and go through fixed timeout for that splashtop thing and then only about 10 seconds for the OS. Under normal conditions I would definitely be putting it into suspend but there will be regular times when it will be started up from cold.
Thanks

I have no problems to measure the aprox time that takes to the BIOS to get to OS loading stage if it will help you
