Fit-PC3 dual antenna - are both required?

Are both antennas required on the AzureWave AW-NB057 wifi card inside the Fit-PC3? Their spec states that one antenna is for transmit, one for receive. We'd like to use just one antenna with wifi and the second antenna with another PCIe card in the second slot. Is this possible? Or will the AzureWave card not work with just one antenna?

One antenna should be enough, but it will affect the WiFi/Bluetooth module's performance. I recommend you to test your custom setup and to decide if it suites you
