Is it possible to pass an HDMI signal over the DisplayPort connector on the fit pc3 and run two HDMI displays using an adapter such as the one found here http://www.monoprice.com/products/produ ... 1&format=2 ?

Yes, you can connect an HDMI display through an adapter. I think you will not get HDMI audio from DisplayPort, but video will work.

We have tested the HDMI adapter Zibeo has linked to, and a similar DisplayPort to DVI adapter with a fit-PC3 LP (pilot unit).

Apparently we are unable to get a signal/picture from the DisplayPort using any of these adapters. We can only get HDMI output working.

Unfortunately we haven't got a DisplayPort screen to test with.

Is it necessary to somehow activate the DisplayPort output either in BIOS or by changing graphic settings? Shouldn't it just work the same way as the HDMI output?

Thanks in advance.

There is no need to configure the BIOS to activate DP to work with adapters.
Unfortunately, not every adapter / cable converting DP to other format is working.
Usually no problem with the branded cables.

We validated DP2DVI (HP P/N : 481409-001): e.g.
