Okay, so I should probably have thought of this before I had the Fit3PC and SSD sat in front of me  - how do I get Windows 7 installed? I'm starting with an ISO.

And I don't have a USB DVD drive.

Doh!

I found this: How To: Install Windows 7 Or Windows 8 From USB Drive. I'll let you know how I get on.

Thanks, Gabriel. For info, they're essentially the same instructions.

I used x64 Win7. It fits on a 4GB stick, and that includes the drivers, at the mo. There's not a lot of room spare, though.

It built first time. And second time (more of which, later). It's been though several reboots and everything seems fine.

Hi,

I have a FIT-PC3 with a SanDisk extreme SSD 120GB.
Startted the install of Win7 x64 Pro, it asks for drivers, i choose the fit-PC3_Win7_AHCI_2012.01.05 from http://www.fit-pc2.com/download/fit-PC3/Win7/drivers/

But windows needs more drivers..

How can I add the right drivers?

Brian

The Win7 contains the generic driver for SATA controller.
No one of the HDD and SSD that were tested by us, didn't require the additional driver during the installation.

Is your SSD detected in the BIOS Boot Menu?

Can you try to install the Win7 on the HDD?

Problem solved:

Boot Win7 ISO from Linux boot USB does not work. Booting from 1 speed USB DVD player now...
Thanks,
Brian
