Fit-PC 3-LP GCC CPU march

Post by aleksm »

Which CPU march option is recommended for AMD G-T40E processor for GCC 4.7.x and GCC 4.8.x?
I heard something about -march=btver1 and -march=btver2. Does anybody know which one is correct?

Hello,
I've got no knowledge about specific settings,
but I'd suggest

Code: Select all

-march=native
and you can also check what does it mean to compiler by

Code: Select all

gcc -march=native -E -v - </dev/null 2>&1 | grep cc1
More info in here http://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/CFLAGS
Cheers!

I have already recompiled world with "btver1" on GCC 4.8.2 , works good.

Code: Select all

$ gcc -march=native -E -v - </dev/null 2>&1 | grep cc1

 /usr/libexec/gcc/x86_64-pc-linux-gnu/4.8.2/cc1 -E -quiet -v - -march=btver1 -mcx16 -msahf -mno-movbe -mno-aes -mno-pclmul -mpopcnt -mabm -mno-lwp -mno-fma -mno-fma4 -mno-xop -mno-bmi -mno-bmi2 -mno-tbm -mno-avx -mno-avx2 -mno-sse4.2 -mno-sse4.1 -mlzcnt -mno-rtm -mno-hle -mno-rdrnd -mno-f16c -mno-fsgsbase -mno-rdseed -mprfchw -mno-adx -mfxsr -mno-xsave -mno-xsaveopt --param l1-cache-size=32 --param l1-cache-line-size=64 --param l2-cache-size=512 -mtune=btver1
