They promised to support Win 7 fully and upgrade bluesoleil version soon.
The price is cheaper than your's.

Is there anyway to find this card outputing wifi.n and bt.II?

It'd be such an alternative to fit-pc2i's wifi/bg...

I did find a combo WiFi+Bluetooth mini-PCIe half-size card, that even claims to support N format. Unfortunately the company does not sell samples of the card so I would be unable to test it compared to Syntek one. Based from their website, this card seems better though (aside of the smaller size which is better by itself). I wonder how to convince them to sell me some samples...

Code: Select all

DHXA-195 is the industry’s first 1-stream 802.11n WiFi plus Bluetooth v2.1 combo solution on a single half-size mini card with PCIe form factor.

The WiFi part of DHXA-195 uses AR9285, which integrates the radio transceiver and the media access controller/baseband sections into a single chip along with the power amplifier, low-noise amplifiers, and antenna switch, can deliver 11n single stream (1x1 SISO) at data rate to 150 Mbps. The Bluetooth connectivity is implemented with AR3011 chip complying with the Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR (extended data rate) standard and upgradeable to Bluetooth 3.0.

DHXA-195 high-performance WiFi/Bluetooth coexistence schem allows faster Web surfing and file transfers, smooth media streams, and clear voice transmissions on the WiFi link, all with uninterrupted synching of wireless PC peripherals like mice and keyboard on the Bluetooth link. Windows XP/Vista/7 and Linux driver support enables ASD (Application Specific Device) manufacturers to quickly and easily employ multi-radio coexistence on one platform with trouble-free WiFi and Bluetooth integration.

You can put me on your list to buy one or two of these!
Does it need some antennas? Where should I get one?

You did not read my entire post: Unex does not want to sell the card to me.

Regarding the antenna, the connection is the same on all mini-PCIe cards. You see 2 small bulbs near the mounting holes - you connect 2 antenna cables there (one in case of Fit-PC2 but it does support 2). This cable is connected inside Fit-PC2 to the RP-SMA screw that protrudes outside of the case. Then you screw the plastic antenna on the RP-SMA screw.

I did indeed read your post dear Yogev. I was sugesting a combo buy... I mean... The only reason they won't sell you a card is because you ask a card alone?

No, because they only sell it as a package with consulting services, and only for specific embedded projects. They do not sell to distributors at all (like us - Green Gadgets). They would sell to Compulab (based on their criteria), but not to anyone else.
