Hi,
contrary to recommendations, I run Debian on both of my Fit-PC 1 units.
I have re-installed them a couple of times, tested every version of Ubuntu and Debian the past 4 years, wishing that the graphics card would finally install correctly - but it never has!!!
Prior to the current Debian version 6, there was always a possibility to tweak xorg.conf and it would work - but not so, not any more.
So I placed a bug rapport: http://tinyurl.com/3falnc9 with Debian.
What puzzles the geode driver package maintainer is the fact, that Fit-PC 1 has the DDC pins configured for serial I/O - and the GPIO can't be probed correctly.
One suggestion is to correct this and release an update of the BIOS.
Plz, would you consider doing this???
BIOS update, setting GPIO in DDC mode
Re: BIOS update, setting GPIO in DDC mode
Unfortunately it is not possible to release a new BIOS version for fit-PC1.
Re: BIOS update, setting GPIO in DDC mode
Yes that is unfortunate
The geode driver package maintainer (and myself obviously
) would greatly appreciate if you would kindly assist in a driver fix by explaining what mods you at Compulab did to your Ubuntu image to overcome the issue explained in this Debian bug report: http://tinyurl.com/18r
