Analog audio but now in mono

Hi, I finnaly got the audio to work on my Fit-PC2 under Win7. (Found the patch here at the user foruim.) But now i just realized that no matter what I do with the balance control the audio is the same in both channels. (Left & Right)
Is what a 'little' side effect of the patch??
I tried both with the audio driver found at the download tab, and with drivers directly from Realtek, but with the same result.
Can any one help me out here?
