Is it possible to use fit-PC2i with Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG as an access point under Windows XP?

The Fit-PC2i does not have a wireless card / mini-pcie slot so -- No it's not possible. The only way to use the Fit-PC2i as an access point is with a USB wireless card.
OS independent.

Hum... it seems to me that Fit-PC2i "Lite" / "Value" has a mini-pcie slot and Fit-PC2i "Turbo" / rev 1.2 has Wifi.
So : could it be used as access point ?

Pleasse check Ralink RT3090 drivers for AP support.

If you want fitPC2/i with PCI based rt3090 wireless card or USB based rt3070 to be AP - download and compile Ralink Linux drivers from their website.
There are some REDME files that claim AP mode is supported and there are instructions about compilation and usage.
We have not tested AP behavior on Linux yet.
