Any news on how the serial port for the fitPC2i is going?
We would like one as soon as the serial port is ready

We expect to offer fit-PC2i with serial port in May.

Is the serial port hardware currently onboard, but not enabled? If I buy a current unit without serial, will a bios upgrade at a later date enable serial?

No, if that was the case we would have offered serial by now.
There is a design error with current revision that prevents serial from operating. This is fixed the next revision.

Yes. It will be initially available direct and through distributors.

Is the serial port version of FitPC2 available for order yet? I believe the correct revision is 1.2?

Distributors decide which products and configurations to offer.
Stock at Amazon will be available as soon as production meets outstanding orders.

Do you have an ETA on when the production will catch up with the outstanding orders? Who is faster on getting product, Amazon or thebookpc.com?
