carmen, could you elaborate on Poulsbo a little bit?
I see that there is a quite recent collection of packages on AUR:
http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?K ... fith&SeB=m

Although it says it does not currently work with xorg-server 1.7.*.
It would be already great if it works well with current Arch Linux and older X server.

I'd love to hear this as well... just recently got my fitpc (couple of months ago) and am interested in seeing it do it's thing with Arch Linux as the base install... This video card seems to be my primary setback and I'd like to get past this so I can really utilize my system and not feel it was a waste of money...

Hi,

i used Uvesafb http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Uvesafb on Archlinux and it worked quite well.
After the update on 2.6.34 i get this error when booting:

Code: Select all

Jun 22 11:09:09 server kernel: uvesafb: cannot reserve video memory at 0x3f800000
Jun 22 11:09:09 server kernel: uvesafb: probe of uvesafb.0 failed with error -5
When trying to start X i get:

Code: Select all

(EE) open /dev/fb0: No such file or directory
Anyone with similar problems?

Thanks.

Hi everybody,

maybe it's a silly question, because I am new with Linux. Is it possible to use the modified linux mint kernel for an arch linux installation?

Thank you!
