FIT-PC2/Fedora 11 and 12 crashes on high ethernet I/O

Post by egodeath »

Is anyone experiencing network loss/kernel crash on high ethernet performance.

On Fedora 11 as well as release 12, the kernel crashes on ethernet transfers higher than 5mb p/s.

Check this thread http://www.fit-pc2.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=1301

The main idea is to set in BIOS "Processur full speed" to "GV3 Only"
Compulab's Linux support

I double checked all the bios settings. And the CPU is already set to GV3 only.

I just tried to do a fresh reinstall of Fedora 12. But even that won't work anymore. It get's stuck at exaclty the same package everytime.. And the hald and NetworkManager processes turn into zombies... (defunct)...

Does anyone have a clue??
