Hello.
I'm trying to update my BIOS, but I have a little bit problems getting started..
I'm following the instructions from wiki-pages of fit-pc2.com and I downloaded the "bios_update.zip" -file and also the latest bios .rom-file for 1.4 rev fit-PC2.
The problem I'm suffering is that when I launch ImUpdate-application, it starts OK and I can select the "Source image" from my computer, but I can't select any "Target" disk from the list because there isn't any. I have connected 4GB DataTraveler USB-stick to my fit-PC2 and formatted it to FAT32.
Well, I wrote the correct drive letter to the empty field of "Targed" and press "Start Restore". After that ImUpdate crashes. This happened with my laptop too.
Any ideas what's wrong?
Thanks!
Problems with BIOS update
Re: Problems with BIOS update
Hi.
The problem is with USB-stick's size. It is limited to 2 GB.
However, you can use another application that works with any USB-stick.
You can download it from here:
http://www.fit-pc2.com/download/bios/DiskImager.zip
DiskImager user manual:
1. Run Win32DiskImager.exe
2. Select Image File - 128MBDOS.img.
3. Select Device - your USB-Stick.
4. Press Write button.
5. Take out USB-Stick and insert it again. It should now be assigned a drive letter.
6. Copy to the root directory on the USB-Stick the SFlash16.exe file from bios-update package.
7. Download and extract latest BIOS from here: http://www.fit-pc2.com/wiki/index.php?t ... _ROM_Files
8 .Copy to the root directory on the USB-Stick the xxxxxx.ROM file.

Re: Problems with BIOS update
I've got it working to the point where I boot from USB and need to type SFlash16.exe /Force
After that comes black screen for a few seconds and then blue screen white text on it and top of that red screen saying "Phoenix SPlash16 Error - File Open failed on G:\BIOS.WPH - PRESS ANY KEY TO EXIT"
I've done everything by the book, am I missing that BIOS.WPH -file or what?

Re: Problems with BIOS update
I think, you typed the wrong command.
You have to type: SFlash16.exe DEVEL34X.ROM /Force
DEVEL34X.ROM is the BIOS ROM file that you have to downlolad from here:
