If I boot from the 9.10 install CD, the SD card is detected and I can see the files on the card. However, my installed 9.10 system does not detect the SD card. After the install, the system notified me that updates were available, and I allowed just under 200 packeges to be installed. That might have changed something.

An ls of /dev/mmc* shows no matches.

The update manager found a kernel update from CompuLab today, and now the SD card has been detected!
