HELP - please!

Post by RonM »

This is an attempt to get some help here. Sorry for being repetitive.

I have installed XP on my FIT, and successfully updated the install. Completely up to date. Everything appears to be working.

However, I have installed an application, Logitech Media Server, that was working fine for the past several years, on a 500 gb drive (now upgraded to 1 tb) with XP. LMS will not start. Diagnostics say that there is a software conflict, and that three ports failed -- 9000, 9090 and another one whose number I forget.

Firewall is turned off; no applications other than LMS have been installed; audio hardware disabled; Realtek audio software uninstalled.

I'm at a loss. Anyone got ideas?

I suggest you to contact Logitech for support with their software. We are not familiar with this software.

I have, of course. They are very puzzled as well. Since there are no other applications installed on the Fit (it's a dedicated music server) we're quite stymied as to why the installation could be reporting a problem with the target ports. Not sure what could be the case.

If you have any ideas, appreciated.
