can't boot but can access bios

I got my fit-PC2 SSD back in January, but did not use it much
because I didn't have a monitor that went well with it.
Now I have the monitor adapter, but it will not boot.
There is just a flashing cursor but typing has no effect.
If I hold F2 I can enter the bios settings and the keyboard
works to change them. The default OS is set to WinXP and
the various boot media are enabled.

Apparently the problem has to do with storage device or installation of operating system.
- Are you sure you have an operating system installed on the SSD ?
- Please check if SSD is detected in BIOS.
- Make sure you do not have a thumb drive attached that takes precedence over SSD in boot order.
