AHCI supported?

I just got an SSD for my FIT-PC (revision 1.21) and I am wondering if I can turn on AHCI in the BIOS. It is needed if I want trim support.

Tried looking but I wasn't able to find the option anywhere. Do I need a BIOS update, an eye check or is it simply not supported?

FitPC2 is IDE, not SATA. It uses Marvell IDE-to-SATA bridge so that you can connect SATA hard disk. But AHCI is not available as the computer thinks it works with IDE.

To the point: if you bought Sandforce-based SSD (this is the only controller that gives benefit in AHCI mode), this is probably way overkill for FitPC2, and if you can go for a cheaper one and get the money difference back, I would recommend it.

Thanks for clearing that up.

I went for an Intel X25-V SSD, so I guess everything is well.
