We where planing to replace many of our computers with fit-pc2i but the PXE boot wont work against Zenworks Configuration manager 10.3 on SLES 10.

Error: PXE-E53 "No boot filename received"

Our environment is working with others pc's so we know that the server is working.
The Fit-pc2i that we borrowed for the test can PXE boot fine into another "PXE environment" we have so the hardware is OK.

Environment:
SLE-10-i386 + "online updates"
kernel-bigsmp-2.6.16.60-0.42.5
Zenworks Configuration manager 10.3

Is there a new Bios version coming that will add support for this?

A BIOS with updated Ethernet controller firmware is available for fit-PC2 at http://fit-pc2.com/forum/viewtopic.php? ... =pxe#p6780
PXE is reported to work well with that BIOS.

CompuLab will release BIOS for fit-PC2i with the new firmware soon.

Do you have an ETA for the new BIOS for fit-pc2i?
Is it possible to get a beta version now to try?

We need to get a confirmation that it will work within a week else we need to go with another solution.

We really need this revised Bios asap.
You promised one week, we are past that with margin

Unfortunately I do not have the updated BIOS for fit-PC2i yet. As soon as the software engineer in charge is back from summer vacation we will prioritize completion.

I wonder if someone can try the attached BIOS with Fit-PC2i / 1GB version and see if it solves PXE boot problem. I just copied the PXE code from FitPC2 BIOS to FitPC2i BIOS, but I cannot test it myself here.
