IEGD vs. GMA500 driver

Why are there actually two graphics driver packages - the GMA500 and the IEGD?

I read the GMA500 means more performance - is that right? Is there any reason for using the IEGD then?

As far as I know, you are only required to use the IEGD driver when tou want to operate your fit-PC2 headless, i.e. without monitor.

If you plan on using your fit-PC2 as an normal computer or HTPC with a display device attached to it you would do best using only the GMA 500 driver.
