I'm trying to use my Fit-PC2i for a headless (no monitor) operation. I will only access the Fit-PC2i using remote access such as VNC.
However, the screen resolution is very very low (640x480, 4 bit colour) and this setting can't be changed. This causes the remote access can't be used to control the PC properly.
When I connect a monitor to the PC the monitor resolution is controlable and can be set to normal and the pc keeps this setting as long it is powered.
But, the setting unfortunately goes "back to normal" (low. res.) when the pc is restarted.
What is to be done?
- Removal of current driver and installation of 'headless no monitor driver?
If a solution is available please inform of how to perform.
Your help please.
Best regards
Peter
Headless (no monitor) operation, can't set screen resolution
Re: Headless (no monitor) operation, can't set screen resolu
I have this problem also, and in addition it seems to have a similar problem if it comes out of standby without a monitor attached, but it has usually 'blue-screened' by the time I switch it back on to the monitor. I put it down to the GMA500 chip, but if anyone has a solution I would love to hear it.

See the first post in this subforum (driver for headless operation).
