With display setting 640x480 60HZ, the outputted format is actually 656x496 60Hz.
XP SP3 with the latest GMA500 6.14.11.1016

I need exactly 640x480 for my LCD panel.

72Hz has the same problem. 75Hz is OK but my panel(controller) does not accept 75Hz.

Tried to install xp-display-iegd-10_1-090719 without success.
Wonder if that will cure the problem?

Any other suggestions?

Did you remove the GMA driver before attempting to install IEGD?

your question solved my problem.

Uninstalling the GMA driver and using the standard driver in XP allowed me to run 640x480 @ 60Hz.
