Apparently, the former intellinux Intel division was re--formed into Intel support for i86 versions of the Android operating system. That means professional-looking graphics for the gma500 and gma3600 are finally here, with the driver calling trick for older versions of X-Windows and the modesetting driver calling directly in the newest versions. I am comparing RIPLinuX with Slackware-14.1 here. The same new version of the gma500 kernel driver is used on both the gma500 and the gma3600 systems, so you can actually compare operation directly and observe how cpu speed and number of cores affects areas like lip synchronization during full-screen operation.

To avoid the 15-minute screen blanker, disable same in the rc.M file located in the /etc/rc.d directory.
