Fit-PC2i / Audio Driver / Linux

Post by soxx »

I'm curious about the correct driver, as i compiled all available codecs and although snd_hda_codec_idt is loaded by snd-hda-intel automatically and alsaconf even recognizing and configuring it, i don't hear anything.
I somewhere read that the kernel codecs don't support fit-pc2i's audio and i'm supposed to get the driver out of compulabs repositry (posted by Denis?); however, i can't find any repository, only the fit-pc2i downloadpage from the wiki, and that only brings me a 22mb kernel-patch (which patches snd-hda-intel), but i'm not very happy with extracting the correct patches out of that monster.

So please tell me, is there another (more comfortable) way to get audio running?

If you follow standard installation instructions for fit-pc2 - sound should work.

As gentoo user you can compile our kernel. Sources and config file available.

Thanks, i already tried this to test IEGD and it's probably the best way.
Extracting the patches is quite easy (thanks to filterdiff from patchutils), but porting it to 2.6.32-gentoo-r7 seems to be time-consuming..
