The Wifi seems to 50/50 see the local network or not when the system boots. And if connected, drops the connection and reports no network about every 2-3 minutes. Can generally connect again manually within a couple of minutes, but then it drops it again. The signal strength always shows as Strong, when it sees the network, and no other device in the room is having a wifi issue.
Any known issues with Wifi and Windows? The system is not useable as is.
(System is stationary and about 15 feet from the wifi point.)
WiFi malfunctioning on Windows HD model
Re: WiFi malfunctioning on Windows HD model
I'm not familiar with WiFi behavior issues. I suggest trying first the full suite of RaLink driver & utility from http://www.ralinktech.com.tw/data/drive ... 0_Free.exe
See if behavior improves when using it rather than Windows zero config.

Re: WiFi malfunctioning on Windows HD model
I am also experiencing this issue and I have tried the full Ralink installation, although their management software actually seemed to make the issue worse.
According to Compulabs website, the chipset used is a Realtek compatible one, so are their specifications different from what we have?
Also, there are 4 driver sets that come in the archive that is provided on this site for WiFi drivers. Why?

Re: WiFi malfunctioning on Windows HD model
The Fit-PC2 Value WiFi is shipped with Realtek. This to decrease the unit total cost (Realtek is 5$ cheaper than Ralink). Other models that have WiFi are shipped with Ralink: http://fit-pc2.com/wiki/index.php?title ... ailability
The other 2 drivers suit the WiFi cards that were used in test units.

We are investigating these reports. A unit with the reported problem should arrive at our lab in a few days.

If this doesn't help, compare WLAN performance to other devices on the wireless network and if fit-PC2 shows significantly worse behavior, please consult rma@fit-pc.com
