When you test the wireless card that you choose, can you verify that it will run in access point / master mode under linux (preferably linux open source drivers)?

I was under the impression the Realtek RTL8111 did not work under Ubuntu 8.04 or 8.10 -- Am I mistaken? (or perhaps, has Ubuntu fixed this issue?)
