Fit-PC2 occasional lockups

Konstanitn,
Thank you for the information. I copied the script and am now recording cpu temp.
I currently do have a heatsink on top of the fitpc heard that helps.
You mention network related lock-ups this did seem to happen when I had
a remote mounted disk and was installing a virtual machine over the nfs network.
I am running linux kernel 2.6.35.14-106.fc14.i686 what version of the kernel resolves
the network issues?
thanks in advance

Hi Jeff,
Please find the engineer suggestions:
Missing thermal pad that causes overheated CPU is suspected.
You can monitor CPU temperature like described below and give us some feedback.

Also we know about network related lock-ups.
This is software related and you need to try the latest Fedora with the latest kernel.
NOTE:
Please proceed the communication on fit-PC forum.
Best Regards,
Konstanitn.

Hello,
Recently the Fit-PC2 has been locking up when cpu util is high. I am running
Fedora 14. From previous linux experience I have not seen lockups unless there is some type
of hardware issue. Is there any diagnostics I can run to determine if there may be some hardware
issue.. It might be possible the faulty power supply cause some type of intermittent damage.
Thanks in advance
Jeff
